BILL'S WEB DESIGN GUIDE 1.0 READ ME INTRODUCTION Bill's Web Design Guide is not meant to be an HTML tutorial, although it does feature a few HTML tricks. I wrote this web design guide for those true web developers who use HTML, rather than fight one of those clumsy WYSIWYG editors. Even so, all of the examples shown in this tutorial can be applied with most WYSIWYG editors. This guide will not tell you how to create a web page, nor will it give you ideas or inspiration. The purpose of Bill's Web Design Guide is to show you the major do's and don'ts of web design by presenting examples and giving detailed explanations of what was done right or wrong in the each example shown. INSTALLTION INSTRUCTIONS Unzip the contents of the archive (*.zip file) into any directory on your computer's hard drive. Then, go to that directory and double click on index.html. This will load the first page of Bill's Web Design Guide. From there, you may browse through the guide just as if you were on a website. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS All you need is a web browser. All of the files in this guide are either HTML, GIF, or JPG. DISTRIBUTION Bill's Web Design Guide is 100% freeware and can be freely distributed however and to whomever you please, so long as none of the pages are modified. In other words, don't change the name to "Fred's Web Design Guide" and try to redistribute.
